Studio Rūma

Studio Rūma was born from a desire to create a welcoming, multipurpose space where people could come together to work, gather, create, and celebrate.

Nestled in a restored workshop in Ōrewa, the studio quickly became a vibrant hub for creativity and community connection.

Just 30 minutes from the Auckland CBD and walking distance from the beach, it became a destination studio for many celebrations and creative experiences.

The space hosted many events, exhibitions, birthdays, baby showers, photo shoots, hen parties and even a wedding! Along with hundreds of creative workshops, from sourdough to pottery, beading to butchery, kids classes to embroidery lessons and everything in between.

It was an honour to hold this space for so many creatives and despite closing the physical studio address, I believe this was only the beginning of the journey.

As Rūma evolves the physical space has been lovingly taken over by the gorgeous neighbours at Drifter Coffee. Thank you all for being part of this first chapter of Studio Rūma!
